It has been a long time since my last post. I'm not a big-time blogger. Its just not my thing to "talk" about me, myself and I. Even on Facebook, I have to think twice before I post something about myself.
This past year brought a lot of blessings that bloomed out of adversity. My Mom had a small stroke that put her into rehab for over 2 weeks. I decided to put my business ventures on hold and spend time helping Dad to care for Mom and continue her therapies during the week, with my siblings taking over on the weekends. This has been a blessing in disguise. I've had SO many wonderful outings, conversations and "God Moments" with my parents and for that, I am truly thankful.
The other blessing comes from my hospice volunteer work. I met a patient (92 years-old at the time) almost two years ago, who recovered enough to be released from the hospice program, and thus my volunteer connection to her. I decided to continue my weekly visits with her during which we play Scrabble. I saw ups and downs with this sweet woman over the last two years and she is now on her final journey home. This saddens me greatly, but she has been such a dear friend...and again, I'm blessed and truly thankful.
I have had little time to spend on blogging or creating but I hope to squeeze a little time in now and again...so stay tuned.
